All 22 Pokémon: who plays where

The All 22 game never tells you how well a Pokémon fits a position. Only the Team Score at the end. This guide shows the fit numbers for every Pokémon at every spot, so you can make each pick count on your way to a 17–0 season.

Unofficial fan guide. Play the game at all22pokemon.com. Numbers match the game's scoring as of October 10, 2026. If the game changes its formula, these can drift.

Roll helperIn the 17–0 Challenge every round rolls a region and a type. Pick them here to see which matching Pokémon fits best, and where. When two spots are close, take the one that counts more: QB is worth 24% of the offense, a WR 9%.

How All 22 scores your team

Every Pokémon gets a fit rating from 0 to 100 for the role it plays. The game takes six base stats plus weight and height, squeezes each onto a 0–1 range (for example Speed counts from 20 up to 130, Attack from 20 up to 140, and weight is measured on a log scale from 5 kg to 400 kg), then mixes them with a recipe for each role. On top of that, the single best matching type adds a flat bonus of 2 to 6 points.

What each position wants

From fits to Team Score

Fits are averaged with weights. On offense the quarterback is worth 24%, more than the two wide receivers together; each offensive lineman is 7.4%, so the line as a whole is 37%. On defense the two ends and two corners are 11% each. Then the weakest links bite: 18% of the final number comes from your four lowest fits. One Magikarp at tackle costs more than a slightly worse quarterback.

The blended number is stretched onto 0–1000. The scale is steep at the top: in the full game a raw rating of about 71.5 is already 950 and about 74 is 1000. Retro (Gen 1–4) and the 151 Challenge use their own, gentler scales because the old Pokémon have lower stats.

Tips that actually move the score

FAQ

How is the All 22 Pokémon Team Score calculated?

Every starter gets a 0–100 fit for its spot from a blend of base stats, size and type. Fits are averaged with position weights, the four weakest players pull the result down, and the number is stretched onto 0–1000. Details are in the section above.

What Team Score do I need to go 17–0?

There is no safe number, since every game is a dice roll. A 900 team goes undefeated about 9% of the time, 950 about 24%, and even a perfect 1000 only about 45%. Use the odds calculator to check yours.

Who is the best quarterback?

In the original 150 without legendaries, Alakazam (75.5). With legendaries, Mewtwo (88.9). Across every generation without legendaries, Flutter Mane (78.9) and Iron Moth (76.8) lead.

Why does my lineup look great but score low?

Usually one or two badly placed players. The four weakest fits count for 18% of the final score, so check each starter in the lookup and fix the lowest ones first.

Are these the game's real numbers?

Yes, as of October 10, 2026. The game's rules run in your browser, and this guide recomputes the same fit and score formulas from public Pokémon base stats. If the game updates its weights, results here may differ until we update.
